Sondheim on Sondheim opens
I'll admit it: When I found out that Internet Week in NYC coincided with the run of Sondheim on Sondheim at the Roundabout, that pretty much sealed the deal for me: I am making a trip to the Big Apple in June.
Any one else?
NewYorkology has a very comprehensive wrap-up of the reviews, and they leave me intrigued and still thrilled I'm going to get to see it.
I haven't seen Barbara Cook perform live in year. I was part of a house papered with Equity members for the opening night of her Broadway one-woman show back in the late 80s.
She was amazing then, and by all accounts, she remains amazing two decades later. (Two decade. Ugh, I'm old.)
Have you seen it? Will you see it? Are you reading this blog but not a Sondheim fan???!!! (The latter being incomprehensible to me!)
Do tell.

When blogging worlds collide: Theatre and Green??
Ultra-intrigued to see this Ecorazzi post about New York's first LEED-certified Broadway theatre!
The full text of the press release can be read here. There is a ton of great info about all the ways this theatre has been built to be green (and how the former building on the site was torn down and re-used, again to be green.
The Roundabout Theatre will be in residence there. They of the current celebrity-filled Waiting for Godot.
Cross-posted from my green blog...and it's not often I write those words!!
